I’ve celebrated my 28th year! In true Jamie style, I started my birthday celebrations the day before with a stroll around the docks and a cream tea with my friends.
It wouldn’t a birthday a mum without my child getting spoiled too. Lucky little Harper was given an Aldi mud kitchen from my parents. The gorgeous Vicky from Just Add Milk gave her this gorgeous Miffy Rabbit and me a beautiful bed throw.
I got an amazing selection of presents and felt thoroughly spoilt. I also felt really special as each of my gifts were clearly thoughtfully considered, like the array of environmentally friendly things I got. I got a girl power tote bag, some facial rounds from Sun Dipped Sea, two reusable coffee cups, reusable straws, and a lunchbox.
My mum also put together a hamper of foods I can eat! It contained a selection of free-from goodies like crisps, “chocolate” sauce, nut butter, and cacao powder.
I can no longer wear my wedding rings due to my painful swollen fingers (thank you Psoriatic Arthritis), so my husband got me a beautiful necklace from Mermaids and Dinosaurs. It has our initials and wedding date on a disc, and then a little disc with an “h” to represent our baby girl (who I must admit as almost 3 is no longer a baby!).
I don’t really buy myself new clothes, and anything “new” I get is quite often from charity shops or clothes swap parties. However, I was really lucky and got a few new gorgeous outfits for my birthday; two new dresses and these trousers were never something I would have picked, but I absolutely love them!
I also got a gorgeous array of stationary, trinkets, and a new phone case that has already been defaced by my toddler adding a Paw Patrol sticker!
I did feel so content on the eve of my birthday, and truly blessed that I have such wonderful friends and family in my life.
What was the best gift you got on your last birthday?
